Royal Enfield to open its own factory in Manaus by May 2027
Royal Enfield has begun receiving equipment for its new manufacturing facility in Manaus, Brazil. According to Global CEO B. Govindarajan, the company aims to commence operations at the site by May 2027.
The project involves an investment of approximately R$ 36.5 million and is expected to create 90 jobs, with a gradual production expansion target of up to 32,000 motorcycles per year. While the brand currently assembles motorcycles in Manaus through a partnership with Dafra, executives stated there are no immediate plans to end that collaboration as the new facility develops.
A key highlight of the local production will be the Himalayan 750. The model is expected to arrive in the Brazilian market around October 2027, roughly nine months after its Indian launch, and will be produced as a localized model.
