Royal Foundation sees major funding boost from US donors

The Royal Foundation, the primary charitable platform for Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, reported significant financial growth in 2025. The foundation’s total income reached approximately €22.18 million ($26.5 million), with a substantial portion of these funds originating from the United States.

Specifically, the Delaware-based organization ‘American Friends of The Royal Foundation’ contributed approximately €10.15 million ($11.7 million) to the foundation, nearly doubling the $5.7 million received from the same source in the previous year. These US contributions accounted for roughly 44% of the foundation's total reported income.

The foundation’s expenditures for the year totaled around €18.7 million ($22.3 million). Key initiatives supported by these funds include the Princess of Wales’s Centre for Early Childhood, which launched the ‘Shaping Us Framework,’ and Prince William’s Homewards initiative, a five-year project aimed at addressing homelessness. Other supported programs include United for Wildlife.

In comparison, Archewell Philanthropies, the charitable organization founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reported approximately €2.25 million ($2.6 million) in revenue for 2024.
