This fundraising success has reportedly led to internal tensions within the Royal Family. Sources close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle suggest the couple views the foundation’s increasing philanthropic presence in the United States as a competitive move, particularly following staff cuts at their own Archewell Philanthropies.

Representatives for Prince William have denied allegations of personal rivalry, describing the foundation’s US activities—including the Earthshot Prize and collaborations with Hollywood figures—as a “professional strategic expansion.” They expressed frustration that these business developments are being perceived as personal attacks.
