Rozwój Plus politicians criticize Zbigniew Ziobro’s judicial reforms

Politicians from the Rozwój Plus party are distancing themselves from the judicial reforms implemented during the Law and Justice (PiS) government, specifically targeting the tenure of former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro.

Waldemar Buda, a former minister and current MP for Rozwój Plus, stated that Ziobro’s reforms did not improve the justice system and may have even worsened the situation. Buda noted that while he maintained government loyalty during his time in office, he never issued positive statements regarding those policies. He announced that Rozwój Plus intends to present its own proposal for judicial reform aimed at serving citizens rather than allowing politicians to seize control of institutions like the Constitutional Tribunal.

Mateusz Morawiecki, leader of Rozwój Plus, also criticized Ziobro’s legacy. Morawiecki stated that if he were forming a government again, he would not appoint Ziobro to the Ministry of Justice, citing difficult cooperation between them.
