Rozzano: Failed ATM robbery attempt using explosives

A group of unidentified individuals attempted to rob an ATM in Rozzano, Italy, using explosives during the night of September 5-6. The explosion, which occurred on via Lombardia, caused significant noise and debris, alarming local residents.

According to reports, the perpetrators utilized the ‘marmotta’ technique, involving a device filled with gunpowder inserted into the machine to force it open. Despite the force of the blast, the robbery was unsuccessful as the criminals were unable to access the cash inside the safe. While the explosion caused damage to the exterior of the bank and the entrance area, no structural damage to the building was reported.
