RTL announces new reality show Asia Express: Zmajeva ruta

RTL has announced a new spectacle titled ‘Asia Express: Zmajeva ruta’ (Asia Express: Dragon's Route). The name draws on Asian mythology, where the dragon symbolizes wisdom, divine power, good fortune, and protection, contrasting with Western depictions of dragons as destructive monsters.

The competition follows a route through specific Asian geographies steeped in dragon legends, including areas near the Mekong River, often referred to locally as the ‘River of Nine Dragons’. The show features pairs navigating a difficult path through jungles, urban streets, and isolated villages. Participants must complete the challenge with only one euro per day and no modern navigation technology, testing their mental and physical endurance.
