Ruben Onsu disputes Cilandak house split with ex‑wife Sarwendah

Celebrity presenter Ruben Onsu and former wife Sarwendah are locked in a post‑divorce dispute over a house in Cilandak, South Jakarta. The couple finalized their divorce in mid‑2024, but disagreement remains over the ownership and mortgage of the property, which they consider joint assets.

Ruben’s legal team clarified that the contested legal document, Act No. 39, was drafted at Sarwendah’s request and that Ruben read and signed it voluntarily. He said the clauses “reflect Sarwendah’s wishes” and offered that she may take over the house and continue the mortgage payments if she wishes. Sarwendah’s counsel, Chris Sam Siwu, maintained that the process was lawful. Public figure Bertrand Peto later urged both parties to resolve the conflict without outside interference.
