Ruben Onsu Files Custody Lawsuit Over Child Visitation Dispute

Indonesian entertainer Ruben Onsu is preparing a legal petition for custody of his children after a protracted dispute with ex‑wife Sarwendah over visitation rights. Onsu’s lawyer, Minola Sebayang, said the father has been denied regular contact with his kids and suspects that Sarwendah is concealing information that could affect the children’s welfare. Documents and evidence are being compiled, and the filing is expected to be submitted to Jakarta’s South District Court within the coming week.

The couple’s divorce was finalized in September 2024 after Sarwendah failed to appear at a court hearing, resulting in a default judgment. The case has drawn public attention following statements from their son, Bertrand Peto (known as Onyo), who posted on social media about alleged mistreatment during the family’s separation.
