Ruben Onsu seeks financial transparency in child custody dispute

Mediation efforts between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah regarding a child custody dispute have failed, leading to the continuation of legal proceedings at the South Jakarta District Court. Following the unsuccessful mediation, the court has moved to the stage of reading the lawsuit.

Ruben Onsu’s legal counsel, Tiffany Setiawaty, stated that the primary focus remains on child custody and the fulfillment of previous agreements. A key point of contention is the demand for financial transparency. Onsu’s legal team is requesting detailed records of expenditures, including credit card usage and child support payments, to ensure funds are being used for the children’s needs.

Setiawaty emphasized that Onsu is not avoiding his responsibilities. She clarified that he remains fully committed to covering maintenance and educational costs for their three children, provided there is physical evidence, such as receipts or transaction documents, to verify that the expenses are specifically for the children’s welfare.
