Ruben Onsu Files Custody Suit Against Sarwendah Ahead of Mediation Hearing

Ruben Onsu has filed a child‑custody lawsuit against his ex‑wife Sarwendah Tan in the South Jakarta District Court (case No. 756/Pdt.G/2026/PN Jkt. Sel) on 30 June 2026. A closed‑door mediation hearing is set for 15 July 2026. A meeting that was to take place on 11 July 2026 was cancelled by Sarwendah after the suit was filed.

Ruben’s lawyer, Minola Sebayang, said Ruben will respect the cancellation but continues to pursue a peaceful resolution and will not obstruct Sarwendah’s access to the children if the court grants him custody. Sebayang also raised concerns that the children were shown in live‑stream sales events, suggesting possible exploitation.

Meanwhile, Sarwendah faced a social‑media boycott, which Ruben’s camp described as a public reaction to her past statements. Both parties maintain that the legal process should proceed independently of any public pressure.
