Poland reports multiple criminal arrests and fatal traffic accidents
Poland has seen a series of notable criminal incidents and traffic accidents. In Ruda Śląska, a 63-year-old Azerbaijani citizen was sentenced to six months in prison and a six-year driving ban after operating a city bus while consuming beer. Tests revealed he had 2.75 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
Other significant incidents include the arrest of a 34-year-old man in Wola wanted for smuggling, and a 42-year-old man in Złotoryja who was detained after threatening others with a machete while driving under the influence.
Fatalities and injuries were reported in several traffic accidents: a 74-year-old woman died in a head-on collision on the DK8 in Szalejów Górny, a 50-year-old motorcyclist died after losing control on route DK45, and an elderly woman died under mysterious circumstances near Oświęcim. Additionally, a 15-year-old cyclist was injured in Gliwice after failing to yield to an Audi, and a 45-year-old truck driver died in a collision on the A4 motorway near Katowice.
