RugOne unveils Xsnap 7 Pro rugged smartphone with detachable camera

RugOne, a brand under Ulefone, has unveiled the Xsnap 7 Pro at the IFA trade show in Berlin. The rugged smartphone features a unique modular design centered around a detachable, magnetic cubic camera module.

The 39-gram camera module can record video at 2.7K resolution at 30 fps and offers up to 40 minutes of independent operation with 64 GB of internal storage. It is waterproof up to five meters and can be recharged by the phone's battery when reattached, extending total endurance to approximately 800 minutes. The module supports a wireless companion app with a range of up to 50 meters.

Built for extreme conditions, the Xsnap 7 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset and features a 6.67-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,700 nits peak brightness. The device includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 64-megapixel infrared camera for night vision. It holds IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications for high-pressure water and dust resistance. The device is scheduled for Kickstarter pre-orders on September 7 at 799 euros, with a global retail launch following at a standard price of approximately 999 dollars.
