RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro debuts with detachable action camera

RugOne, a sub-brand of Ulefone, has unveiled the Xsnap 7 Pro at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The rugged smartphone features a unique, magnetically detachable action camera module that weighs 39 grams.

The detachable module can record 2.7K video at 30 fps with a 133-degree wide angle and includes 64GB of internal storage. It can operate independently for approximately 40 minutes on its own battery and is waterproof up to five meters. The smartphone acts as a charging station for the module, with the device's 9,300 mAh battery capable of recharging the camera up to 20 times.

Technical specifications for the Xsnap 7 Pro include a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor, 12GB of RAM (expandable by an additional 12GB), and 512GB of internal storage. The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED 1.5K display and carries IP68 and IP69K certifications for water, dust, and shock resistance. It also includes a FLIR thermal imaging camera and a 64MP night vision camera.

Pre-orders for the device have launched on Kickstarter with an early-bird price of €799, with a full retail release expected in October at $999.
