Réunion strengthens economic ties through new partnerships and regional support

Economic development initiatives are expanding in Réunion through new corporate partnerships and regional government support.

Epitech La Réunion has expanded its partner network to 17 organizations, including Gaïa Groupe, ZEOP, Crédit Agricole La Réunion et Mayotte, Squirrel, Exodata, Groupe Caillé, and Disciplina. These partnerships aim to provide students with internships, work-study contracts, and scholarships across various sectors such as renewable energy, telecommunications, banking, and digital services.

Additionally, the Région Réunion held its first regional economic convention, led by President Huguette Bello. The event highlighted that over 12,000 companies have been supported or financed since 2021, with 115 million euros mobilized through 14 different support programs. A new partnership was also signed with the Conseil régional de l’Ordre des experts-comptables to improve information and guidance for local businesses. These efforts serve as a precursor to the “Acte II de La Nouvelle Économie” policy planned for the 2026-2030 period, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (TPE and PME).
