Rural Roads in Bolivia and Water Supply in Chile See Major Upgrades

In the Sucre region of Bolivia, the National Roads Institute (Invías) completed five rural road projects under the "Caminos Comunitarios de la Paz Total" program. The works restored more than nine kilometres of routes, easing transport for over 2,800 residents and improving market access for crops such as corn, yucca and yam, while also creating local jobs and securing better access to health and education services.

In Chile’s O’Higgins region, the municipality of Navidad reported that the expansion of the Pupuya Rural Sanitary Service is 90 % finished. The project will provide a modern water‑distribution network, new storage tanks and pumping stations to serve more than 1,200 families. Mayor Yanko Blumen Antivilo said, "Este proyecto representa un anhelo histórico para muchos vecinos… entregar más seguridad, dignidad y mejores oportunidades de desarrollo para cientos de familias."
