Ruse-Giurgiu border crossing implements temporary traffic changes

A temporary traffic organization has been introduced at the Ruse-Giurgiu border crossing. From 9:00 on October 26 until 17:00 on October 29, 2026, a section of the left lane will be closed to traffic.

Vehicles will pass in both directions using the remaining free lane, with movement regulated in 20-minute intervals per direction. Romanian border authorities have been notified of these changes, which are necessary due to construction work involving the installation of drainage devices on the Danube Bridge near Ruse.

Traffic remains normal at all other border crossings with Romania and Greece. While most crossings are operating normally, heavy traffic is reported at the Lesovo border crossing with Turkey for exiting freight vehicles.
