Russia accuses US of involvement in strikes on Russian territory

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused the United States of direct involvement in Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. Lavrov stated that Washington provides intelligence and support for these operations, including strikes on civilian targets. In response, Moscow has announced it will intensify efforts to destroy Western military shipments and resources intended to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities.

Regarding diplomacy, Lavrov noted that President Vladimir Putin remains open to receiving American envoys, specifically mentioning Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, should they visit Russia. However, he emphasized that the nature of their proposals would be critical. Lavrov rejected the possibility of a conflict freeze along current lines, arguing that such an arrangement would be unacceptable to Russia’s historical responsibilities.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has formally requested comments from the U.S. State Department concerning the extent of American involvement in the preparation and execution of strikes deep within Russian borders.
