Russia and China discuss Far East infrastructure and quantum tech

At the 11th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that quantum communication is expected to cover all regional capitals in the Russian Far East by 2030.

Additionally, Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov revealed plans for a new transport route between Russia and China. The project aims to link the Chinese city of Mohe with Russia’s Far East and the Northern Sea Route. The proposal includes constructing a combined rail-and-road bridge across the Amur River as part of the Mohe–Dzhalinda route, providing access to the Northern Sea Route via the Lena River. The project is estimated to cost 16 billion roubles, with economic feasibility studies and financing models currently under development.
