Russia and Republic of the Congo coordinate ahead of Africa summit

Russia and the Republic of the Congo are coordinating their agendas ahead of the third Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for October 28-29 in Moscow. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Guéorgui Borissenko and Guy Nestor Itoua, Secretary General of the Congolese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met in Moscow to discuss preparations for the Congolese delegation's participation.

The discussions focused on implementing commitments made during the April meeting between Vladimir Putin and Denis Sassou-Nguesso. Both nations aim to strengthen political, economic, and technical cooperation to build a denser partnership.

On the international stage, both countries expressed support for a “multipolar world order” and intend to increase consultation on regional and global issues. They also confirmed plans to enhance diplomatic coordination within the United Nations and other multilateral institutions, specifically addressing conflict resolution and friction zones across Africa.
