Russia delivers humanitarian aid to Cuba
A delegation from the Russian Civic Chamber has donated humanitarian aid to Cuba to assist its population during an ongoing energy crisis. The donation, which included food, sweets, portable flashlights, USB drives, and first aid kits, was presented during a meeting with the leadership of the Institute of Cuban Friendship among Peoples (ICAP) in Havana.
The event took place as part of commemorations for the centenary of Fidel Castro. Nikita Anisimov, a member of the Russian Civic Chamber and the Public Council of Rossotrudnichestvo, stated that Russia stands in solidarity with Cuba and will continue to support the nation in international forums. Noemí Rabasa, first vice president of ICAP, expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the Cuban people are currently facing shortages of essential goods such as medicine, fuel, and food.
