Russia may use captured Ukrainian drones for provocations against Poland
Russia has taken possession of Ukrainian long‑range drones, is repairing and re‑programming them, and could employ them in false‑flag operations aimed at NATO members, particularly Poland. Ukrainian presidential adviser Serhij Beskrestnow (known as “Flash”) posted photographs confirming that Russian forces are collecting and refurbishing the captured UAVs for future provocations. Polish deputy prime minister and defence minister Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz warned on 21 July that Russia might use the seized drones to provoke Poland and other NATO allies. The Ukrainian defence portal Militarnyj reported the same risk, citing the same images and statements. Polish media have repeatedly highlighted the threat, noting that the drones could be used to create misleading incidents over European airspace.
