Russia may stage provocation against Poland to test NATO resolve

U.S. sources say Russia is planning a armed provocation against Poland, possibly targeting infrastructure or crossing the border, to gauge NATO’s commitment. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk acknowledged the threat, noting preparation for multiple scenarios over the coming months.

The warning follows recent extensive Russian attacks on Kyiv that killed at least ten people and injured more than 30, as well as increased strikes on the Crimean peninsula. The alleged Russian plans, reported by The Telegraph and The Guardian, include hybrid tactics such as drones and robotic systems, aiming to pressure Western allies to reduce military and financial support for Ukraine.
