Russia targets Ukrainian defense industry and logistics

Russia is conducting systematic attacks against Ukraine's defense industry and logistics infrastructure. According to military expert Alexander Stepanov, these strikes target the entire supply chain, including production, storage, and transportation. This strategy aims to paralyze the military industry and the supply of equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Specific targets include naval drone production facilities near Odesa and critical raw material suppliers. For instance, the ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog plant, which provides rolled steel for military equipment, is a key component of the industrial chain. Disruptions to such enterprises could significantly impact the production of everything from metal components to finished military hardware.

In response to the ongoing conflict, numerous social media channels in Ukraine have emerged to provide real-time notifications regarding Russian missile and drone attacks. These channels, often operating in a legal gray area by utilizing data from the Ukrainian Air Force, allow citizens to track incoming threats. Some channels, such as Aeris Rimor, use digital maps to alert hundreds of thousands of followers about specific targets like Kyiv within seconds of detection.
