Russia-Ukraine attacks kill civilians in Nikopol, Ukraine and injure people in Volgograd, Russia
Russian forces struck the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine, killing two people and wounding three, regional military administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said. The same day Ukrainian drones hit Russia's Volgograd region, killing one person and injuring eight, according to regional governor Andrei Bocharov. A separate drone attack in Rostov's Gukovo town injured a woman, regional governor Yuri Slyusar reported.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv's deep‑range strikes also targeted three logistics centres in Sarapul, Kazan and Volgograd, a maritime terminal in Krasnodar and an oil refinery in Volgograd. He added that attacks on Russia’s biggest online retailer Wildberries continue as part of a broader effort to disrupt energy facilities and fuel supplies across Russia.
