Russia-Ukraine clashes kill ten civilians in occupied regions
Six civilians were killed by Ukrainian attacks in occupied Ukrainian territories and a border village in Russia, while four civilians died from Russian strikes inside Ukraine, bringing the death toll to ten.
In the occupied eastern village of Gorlivka, a Ukrainian drone attack killed four people. Russian‑appointed officials reported one killing in the Kherson area and another in the village of Smorontino near the Belgorod border. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a Russian drone strike on Kharkiv killed one person and wounded nine, including two children. He also described a "cynical blow" in a Chernihiv supermarket that left two dead – one a child – and 13 injured. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian forces struck a tourist camp, killing eight civilians, among them two children. Russia launched eight missiles and 136 drones, of which six missiles and 104 drones were shot down according to Ukrainian air defenses.
