Russia-Ukraine conflict enters phase of total war

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has entered a phase characterized by experts as ‘total war,’ where both sides aim for the complete destruction of the opponent’s capabilities. This escalation involves the systematic mobilization of all national resources to target not only military forces but also the economic foundations and civilian infrastructure of the enemy.

Ukraine has increasingly targeted Russia’s economic rear, including refineries, ports, and large-scale commercial warehouses. Recent drone strikes successfully hit Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, causing significant property damage.

In response to these strikes on economic hubs, some Russian citizens have expressed anger, viewing the attacks on commercial infrastructure as terrorism against civilians. However, analysts note that the conflict has evolved to include the destruction of energy sectors, maritime trade, and the fundamental economic stability of both nations.
