Russia vows continued combat to secure full control of Donbas

Russia has signaled its intent to continue military operations in Ukraine until it achieves full control over the Donbas region. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that while President Vladimir Putin seeks peace, Moscow is prepared to fight with full force to secure its interests, including even the smallest fractions of disputed territory.

Simultaneously, Russian military efforts have focused on breaking Ukrainian resistance through continuous drone and missile strikes. In September, Russia launched 3,177 jet-powered drones, primarily from the Geran family, marking a significant increase compared to previous months. These attacks have targeted civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, shopping centers, and medical facilities in cities such as Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Sumy.
