Russia warns Poland its support for Ukraine will have consequences, says spokesperson Zacharova

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zacharova told Sputnik that Moscow had repeatedly warned Warsaw about the repercussions of aiding Ukraine. She claimed Poland ignored these warnings and, by supplying weapons, technology and intelligence to Kyiv, has enabled the Ukrainian government to gain significant influence and pose a new threat to the West.

Poland’s foreign minister Radosław Sikorski had recently cautioned that Russia might stage false‑flag provocations, recalling the 1939 Gliwice incident. He reaffirmed Poland’s readiness to confront any such actions. Zacharova’s remarks are part of a broader Russian narrative aimed at deterring further Western support for Ukraine and pressuring Poland to reconsider its policy.
