Russia warns UK of consequences over drone strikes in Russian territory

The Russian Embassy in London has issued a warning to the United Kingdom, stating that Britain will face consequences for its role in the Ukraine conflict. This follows reports that Ukrainian forces have utilized drones manufactured by British companies to conduct long-range strikes deep within Russian territory, including attacks on industrial and military targets such as oil refineries.

In a statement, the Russian diplomatic mission accused London of being an “accomplice and co-perpetrator” of attacks and claimed the UK is deliberately escalating the crisis while “hypocritically professing a desire for peace.” The embassy warned that the deeper the UK's involvement and the greater its support for Kyiv, the “higher the price it will pay.”

While the specific nature of Russia's retaliation remains unclear, the tension follows recent reports of UK-made drones being used in a campaign that has caused significant economic damage to Russian infrastructure. The UK has previously pledged to provide substantial drone supplies to Ukraine as part of its ongoing military support.
