Russian bombings kill Ukrainian civilians and burn grain fields

A Russian attack set fire to a refinery in the city of Syzran, causing extensive damage and a blaze. The same wave of Russian strikes earlier in June killed at least 265 Ukrainian civilians and injured more than 1,800, according to Ukrainian officials.

Separately, Russian forces used fire‑bombing drones against Ukraine’s agricultural sector, scorching roughly 2,000 hectares of wheat in a single night in the Kherson region. Farmer Viktor Herdijenko reported the loss of a season’s work as the attacks intensified during the harvest period.
