Russian drone attacks damage civilian buildings in Kropivnickij and Csernyihiv, Ukraine

Russian forces carried out a series of air and drone strikes on Friday night targeting the central Ukrainian town of Kropivnickij and the northern settlement of Csernyihiv. The attacks hit an industrial enterprise in Kropivnickij, and a resort, a gas station and a family house in Csernyihiv, causing material damage but no injuries.

According to Ukrainian officials, the Russian air force launched five rockets and about 180 attack‑measuring and camouflage drones. Ukrainian air‑defence systems intercepted four rockets and roughly 160 drones, though nine locations were struck and 14 drones reached their targets, some of which dropped debris that fell to the ground.

The incidents were reported by the regional governor Andrij Rajkovics and the state disaster protection service, which confirmed that the strikes continued across several provinces with some drones remaining in Ukrainian‑controlled airspace.
