Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine
Entities: Dnipropetrovsk region · Pavlohrad · Oleksandr Khanzha · Sinelnykove · Nikopol
Overview
On 29 June 2026 Russian missile strikes hit the Ukrainian cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, killing at least seven civilians and injuring more than thirty. The attacks struck a private enterprise in Dnipro and a minibus in Zaporizhzhia, including a child among the victims.
By 24 July 2026 the Russian campaign shifted toward large‑scale drone operations. Around 180 attack‑measuring drones and five rockets were launched against the central town of Kropivnickij and the northern settlement of Csernyihiv. Ukrainian air‑defence intercepted most rockets and roughly 160 drones; material damage was recorded at an industrial site, a resort, a gas station and a family house, but no injuries were reported.
On 27 July 2026 Russian forces carried out artillery and drone strikes across the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing three people and wounding six in the towns of Nikopol, Sinelnykove and Pavlohrad. The incidents were described as part of the daily Russian bombardment that has continued since the war began.
Together these events show a continuing Russian air‑strike campaign that has moved from missile attacks causing civilian deaths to a broader, drone‑focused effort damaging infrastructure while Ukrainian defences increasingly intercept attacks, though casualties still occur.
