Ukrainian drone strikes hit Moscow refinery and multiple Russian regions

Ukraine launched a large wave of drone attacks against Russian targets, with Russian air defenses reporting the interception of roughly 60 drones over Moscow. One drone struck an oil refinery in the capital, causing damage but no casualties and prompting temporary shutdowns at the city’s four airports. The same wave hit sites in 28 Russian regions, focusing on energy infrastructure such as fuel depots in the Krasnodar area and other oil‑industry facilities. Ukrainian officials said the campaign aims to disrupt Russia’s military logistics and energy exports that fund its war effort. Russian defence officials confirmed the downing of hundreds of drones nationwide but gave limited details on further damage.
