Russian hackers breach ventilation control of Polish hospital, CBZC confirms

Polish authorities confirmed that a group of Russian citizens involved in a organised cyber‑crime operation accessed the building‑management system of a hospital in Sanok and altered ventilation settings, raising the temperature to the maximum of 28 °C. The Central Office for Combating Cybercrime (CBZC) verified the intrusion after earlier reports of a similar attack on an identical system a year prior. Access to the control panel was restored and the system secured; no damage to medical equipment or patient safety was reported. The incident highlights the vulnerability of hospital infrastructure to external digital threats beyond clinical devices.
