Russian media agencies sign partnership deals with African news outlets

During the Africa-Russia Media Forum in Moscow, several Russian news agencies signed strategic partnership agreements with African media organizations to strengthen bilateral information exchange.

Algerian daily Le Jeune Indépendant signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian news agency Sputnik. The partnership aims to develop bilateral information flows, launch joint editorial projects, and facilitate work for correspondents. This follows previous technical cooperation involving training in podcast production and generative artificial intelligence.

Additionally, the Malian News and Advertising Agency (AMAP) signed a memorandum of partnership with the Russian agency TASS. The agreement focuses on modernizing news practices, providing continuous professional training, and sharing expertise regarding technological shifts such as social media and artificial intelligence. These signings serve as a prelude to the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit scheduled for late October.
