Russian missile and drone attacks kill at least 17 civilians in Ukraine
Russian missile, drone and guided‑bomb strikes hit several Ukrainian cities, killing at least nine people in a night of attacks that included three deaths in the Dnipropetrovsk region, one civilian in Kherson and further casualties in Kyiv, Sumy, Sloviansk and Odesa. Ukrainian officials said the raids wounded dozens, with 12 injured in Kyiv, including two children.
Ukraine also conducted retaliatory strikes, hitting Russian‑occupied Enerhodar and a site in the Samara region, resulting in additional deaths. Both sides blamed the attacks on targeting civilian infrastructure, and Ukrainian leaders called for more air‑defence aid from allies.
