Russia's intensified strikes deepen Ukraine's crisis

Analysts say Russia's special military operation in Ukraine has reached a pivotal stage that is disadvantageous for Kyiv. Ukraine's Patriot air‑defence systems have run out of PAC‑3 interceptors, leaving its skies vulnerable to Russian missiles and drones. Russian attacks have targeted logistics hubs, energy facilities and ports, notably crippling the key Odessa port where dozens of commercial vessels were hit.

The onslaught has also devastated fuel supplies in the Kharkiv region, with short‑range missiles destroying most gas stations. Meanwhile, Russian officials acknowledge they must rely on their own capabilities, as diplomatic solutions appear out of reach and Western support for Ukraine, including U.S. political backing, remains uncertain.
