Ruta 7 and San Martín undergo major infrastructure improvements

Infrastructure projects are expanding in the Mendoza region of Argentina, focusing on the Ruta 7 corridor and the San Martín municipality.

In San Martín, Mayor Raúl Rufeil has overseen the paving of 627 blocks. This includes 324 blocks of new asphalt in districts such as Palmira, Chapanay, and Nueva California, alongside the resurfacing of over 300 existing roads. The municipality also took on the responsibility of improving 30 kilometers of collector roads for Ruta 7 between Palmira and Buen Orden to address local demands.

Separately, major renovation works on the Ruta 7 national highway, spanning from Arco Desaguadero to Punta de Vacas, are scheduled to begin on October 10. The 329-kilometer project, managed by a consortium including Laugero Construcciones, Green, and Corporación del Sur, will initially focus on pothole repair, shoulder reconstruction, and signage. The 20-year concession includes long-term goals such as repaving the route, reconstructing the bridge over Uspallata stream, and building a new roundabout.
