Ryuji criticizes Lawson seafood collaboration products

Cooking researcher Ryuji has issued a harsh review of the “Crab Miso Scented Ankake Fried Rice” from a new Lawson collaboration series supervised by YouTuber Kimagure Cook (Kaneko). Despite Kaneko’s social media request for honest feedback without hesitation, Ryuji gave the 754-yen dish a grade of “Z,” stating he would “never buy it again.” He noted a strong fishy odor that did not harmonize with the fried rice, suggesting more crab meat be added to improve the sauce.

In the same review, Ryuji praised other items in the seafood series. He gave the “Bouillabaisse Soup” an “S” rating, calling it highly satisfying, and awarded the “Raw Pasta Rich Crab Cream” an “A plus.”

The collaboration, which features 12 seafood-themed products, began rolling out across approximately 14,000 Lawson stores in Japan starting October 19.
