The management team of RyzaChat:AI, an AI-driven chat RPG based on the ‘Atelier Ryza’ series, has issued a warning regarding terms of service violations. The developers reported instances of unauthorized data extraction, including character assets and audio, through activities such as reverse engineering. Additionally, the team noted the spread of unofficial images and videos of the character Ryza created using generative AI on social media.

Developed by SpiralAI under license from Koei Tecmo Games, the app allows players to interact with the character Ryza through natural language to progress through quests, combat, and alchemy. While the official character designs and voices are human-made, the game utilizes a proprietary model, ‘SpiralLLM,’ for dialogue.

Despite these challenges, the service has seen significant engagement, surpassing one million character utterances since its August 25 launch in Japan. The developers plan to expand the experience with seasonal skins and a ‘multi-dialogue mode’ allowing up to four users to participate in a single story.
