Rzeszow suspect detained for three months after Paderewski Street stabbing

A 35‑year‑old man attacked a 23‑year‑old with a knife on Paderewski Street in Rzeszow, causing serious injuries that required hospital treatment. Police were dispatched after a 112 call and found the victim receiving emergency care. The suspect, who was heavily intoxicated with a blood‑alcohol level of about 1.7 ‰, was arrested at the scene shortly after the attack.

The local prosecutor requested a three‑month pre‑trial detention, which the district court approved. The suspect now faces up to a 20‑year prison term for the stabbing.
