Poland knife attacks

In early July 2026, police in Rzeszów detained a suspect for three months following a stabbing on Paderewski Street. A month later, authorities in Kamienna Góra investigated a separate knife attack that left a 15-year-old boy critically injured. Police identified two 16-year-old suspects, placing one in a juvenile detention cell while releasing the other after questioning.

In August 2026, violence involving teenagers continued in Poland. In Kamienna Góra, a 15-year-old boy was attacked with a sharp object near a music festival; his condition was life-threatening, and he was airlifted to a hospital in Wrocław. Two 16-year-old suspects were detained, with one remaining in juvenile detention pending court decisions.

In a separate incident in Goleniów, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on Kolejowa Street. The victim, who suffered puncture wounds and signs of a beating, was airlifted to a hospital in Szczecin in stable condition. Two 17-year-old suspects were detained in connection with the assault, and a family court has ordered them to stay in a juvenile shelter for three months.
