Rzeszów and Poznań lead Polish city rankings for quality of life

A new ranking of Polish cities identifies Rzeszów and Poznań as the top locations for living based on a balanced assessment of economic and comfort metrics. The study evaluated six indicators: unemployment rates, average wages, secondary market housing prices, healthcare accessibility via the National Health Fund, crime rates, and air quality.

Rzeszów and Poznań tied for the top position despite having different strengths. Rzeszów benefits from the lowest crime rates in the country and excellent medical access, though it faces a weaker labor market and lower housing supply. Poznań leads in employment and wages but suffers from poor air quality.

While Warsaw achieved its highest historical score in this ranking, it remains off the podium. Data indicates that Kraków recorded the highest average enterprise sector wages in October 2025, challenging the long-held perception of Warsaw's economic dominance.
