Rzeszów urban and economic development rankings

Rzeszów has appeared prominently in recent rankings assessing various aspects of its urban and economic standing in Poland.

In July 2026, a report titled ‘Beyond the Hubs’ by Accolade, REDD, and Michael Page ranked Rzeszów second among Polish cities with populations between 100,000 and 400,000 regarding logistics, production, and warehousing potential. The study cited the city’s industrial base, skilled workforce, and strategic position on international corridors. Mayor Konrad Fijołek stated the result ‘confirms that Rzeszów is continuously strengthening its position as a strong and modern economic centre’.

By August 2026, Rzeszów tied with Poznań for the top position in a separate ranking focused on quality of life. This assessment utilized metrics including unemployment, wages, housing prices, healthcare accessibility, crime rates, and air quality. While Rzeszów was noted for having the lowest crime rates in the country and excellent medical access, the report also identified challenges such as a weaker labor market and lower housing supply compared to other top-tier cities.
