Yemen observes Mawlid al-Nabi with religious and political commemorations

Religious scholars and government officials in Yemen are holding events to commemorate the Mawlid al-Nabi, the observance of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

In Saada, a meeting organized by the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, along with cultural and scholarly units, focused on the religious significance of the occasion. Scholars present, including Ahmed Houria and Mohammed al-Hadi, used the gathering to condemn perceived American insults toward the Quran and to call for steadfastness and unity in the face of regional conflicts.

In Sanaa, the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water held a commemorative event. Deputy Minister Adel Bader stated that the occasion serves as a spiritual milestone to renew loyalty to the Prophet's teachings. He emphasized that the ministry aims to honor the Prophet by improving service delivery for the Yemeni people, particularly in electricity and water, while framing the observance within the context of the ongoing national struggle against regional adversaries.
