Sabrina Scampini addresses accidental on-air comments regarding Alessandro Di Battista

Television presenter Sabrina Scampini has addressed an accidental microphone leak during a broadcast on Rete4 regarding the health of politician Alessandro Di Battista. During the program ‘4 di Sera Weekend’, Scampini’s microphone remained active while a report was playing, capturing her expressing disapproval of the production’s decision to use loud theme music while discussing Di Battista’s serious medical condition.

Scampini clarified that the comments were unintentional and made because she felt the tone of the broadcast was inappropriate for such a delicate news item. She stated, “My disappointment was due only to the way a news story, which is so important and so delicate, such as the health of Alessandro Di Battista, was being given.”

Alessandro Di Battista is currently hospitalized in Cuba after suffering a serious medical emergency. Reports indicate his condition has stabilized; he regained consciousness and was transferred to the Hermanos Ameijeiras hospital in Havana for further testing. While he is reportedly in a combative spirit, he is currently not in a condition to travel.
