Sacheon City to host health walking event for 2028 sports festival

Sacheon City has announced the ‘2026 Sacheon Citizen Health Walking Competition’ to be held on September 5 at the Sacheon City Hall Sunset Plaza. The event is organized by the Sacheon City Sports Council to celebrate the upcoming joint hosting of the 67th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival in 2028 by Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong.

The walking course covers a 4km loop starting and ending at the Sunset Plaza, designed to be accessible for all ages. The initiative aims to promote citizen health, foster community unity, and build momentum for the 2028 provincial sports festival, which is expected to boost the local economy and regional cooperation in the South Coast area.
