SACOMBANK Wins Sao Khuê 2026 Award and Leads JCB Card Sales in Vietnam

SACOMBANK was honoured with a five‑star rating at the Sao Khuê Awards 2026 for its open‑loop payment technology used in public‑transport systems, marking the bank’s sixth consecutive win in the fintech category. The solution, launched in 2024, links with Mastercard, Visa, Napas and supports VietQR, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay and e‑wallets, enabling cash‑free payments for metro and bus riders. In Ho Chi Minh City’s metro, more than 90 % of transactions are now cashless, shortening checkout times, improving security and encouraging broader public‑transport use.

In addition, SACOMBANK was featured on Vietnam’s Digital Technology Solutions Map 2026 and received JCB’s Merchant Sales Leadership 2025 and Spending Leadership 2025 awards at the JCB Vietnam Annual Conference in Da Nang. These recognitions highlight the bank’s dominant position in card acquiring and consumer spending, and its ongoing expansion of payment acceptance points across retail, tourism and e‑commerce. The bank plans to add connectivity with JCB, American Express, UnionPay and extend its open‑loop system to more transport modes.
