Sade Traditional Village fire destroys homes and local businesses in Lombok

A major fire in the Sade Traditional Village, located in the Pujut District of Central Lombok, has destroyed hundreds of traditional Sasak houses. The blaze caused significant economic damage to the local community, which relies heavily on cultural tourism.

Many residents, including female entrepreneurs who are clients of PNM Mekaar, lost not only their homes but also their livelihoods. The fire destroyed weaving tools, finished products such as songket and Sasak shawls, and small kiosks used to sell crafts to tourists.

In response, PNM has deployed aid to the area to address urgent needs. PNM President Director Kindaris stated that the organization aims to support residents through the recovery process, ensuring they can eventually resume their business activities and restore their economic stability.
