Sadio Mané announces 8.7 billion FCFA agro-industrial project in Bambali

Senegalese footballer Sadio Mané has announced an 8.7 billion FCFA investment in an agro-industrial park in his native village of Bambali. The project, managed through SM10 Agro, aims to establish a complete value chain for mango production, processing, and export.

The development includes a 500-hectare plantation of Kent mangoes and an industrial platform with an annual processing capacity of 10,500 tonnes. To address local conservation challenges, the facility will produce various goods, including mango pulp, dried mango, and mango butter, alongside fresh fruit exports.

The project is expected to create 1,000 jobs upon launch, eventually reaching up to 2,500 jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and is expected to last 18 months.
